Education or teaching in the broadest sense is any act or experience that has a formative effect on the mind, character or physical ability of an individual.

In its technical sense education is the process by which society deliberately transmits its accumulated knowledge, skills and values from one generation to another.

Teachers in educational institutions direct the education of students and might draw on many subjects, including reading, writing, mathematics, science and history.

This process is sometimes called schooling when referring to the education of teaching only a certain subject, usually as professors at institutions of higher learning.

There is also education in fields for those who want specific vocational skills, such as those required to be a pilot.

In addition there is an array of education possible at the informal level, such as in museums and libraries, with the Internet and in life experience.

Many non-traditional education options are now available and continue to evolve.

The right to education has been established as a basic human right: since 1952, Article 2 of the first Protocol to the European Convention on Human Rights obliges all signatory parties to guarantee the right to education.

At world level, the United Nations' International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights of 1966 guarantees this right under its Article 13.

India has passed the Right to Education Bill 2009 in August 2009

Before you create your Web site, ask yourself these questions:

· What do I want the site to do?

· Whom do I want to visit my site, and how do I keep them coming back?

· What look and tone — exciting, humorous and serious — will help convey my message to my audience?

It's critical to target information to your particular audience. Publish content that they find important.

For a nonprofit organization, this could be information about current events.

For a mid-sized corporation, it could be the latest news about corporate tools and processes.

Whoever your audience, ask yourself what essential information they need to know, and then give it to them.

HideEffective ways to use the Web site that you create

· Give technical support to customers or workgroups.

· Post a calendar of events for group members.

· Offer a clearinghouse on consumer product information.

· Create a personal home page (home page: Main page of a Web site. Usually have hyperlinks to other pages, both within and outside of the site. One Web site can contain many home pages. For example, the Microsoft home page contains a Products home page, which contains other home pages.) For planning family events, sharing vacation photos, pursuing a hobby, or just having fun.

· Post an electronic resume for prospective employers.

Objectives:

India has always fascinated me for different reasons.

The vastness of its culture, the diversity of people’s opinions and the limitations of its vision.

Despite our diversity, we need to have a collective vision.

India is not a country of four metropolises or a couple of high-tech cities.

This nation of a billion people has 29 states and 6 union territories.

We have 35 state and territorial capitals.

How much do we know about each of these important cities?

Professionally I am a mechanical engineer from Gaya, India.

In 2010, I co-authored a book on my thoughts and belief, but my desire to throw a wider net and pick up much more information about best way of learning, teaching and research works in technical education and remain intact.

I want my people from every city, every state and every country to write and photograph details and information that would be interesting to the viewers around the world.

We have so much to talk about and so much to share - this medium and this technology can help fulfill our collective dreams.

It sounds too good to be true?

Definitely!
If it doesn’t then I will believe there is something wrong with you. I saw this for the first time and was sure that it must be a fraud.

Then somebody told me – “If an idea sounds too good to be true, it doesn’t necessarily mean that it cannot be true.”

· To upgrade my knowledge and skills and to seek a position that provides challenging opportunities for the best use of my capabilities and the realization of Organizational goals

Interview of Alok Sir

INTERVIEW OF Prof. ( Er. ) Alok Kumar (ALOK SIR) By : Our Indian Corespondent :::::::::::::::::::

Dear Friends ,

I am your beloved lecturer, still learning daily New Thoughts and Latest Technology, Teaching up gradation in Mechanical Engineering and Technology, Technical Adventures including Astrophysics, Life- Planning of an Engineer, Best Mechanical Gardening and Making my own dream projects under umbrella of SHAKTISHALI FOUNDATION and

" SHAKTISHALI " Youth - Brigade (Yuva Sena)

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sir ! What classes do you teach?

Alok Sir : For more than five years now, I have been teaching Industrial Management , Installation Maintenance , Thermodynamics , Applied Mechanics , Manufacturing Technology, Engineering Drawing ,Workshop Technology , Production & Costing for Diploma & Graduate Engineering students .

I am also teaching Industrial Engineering,Energy Resources & Utilization,Power Plant Engineering mainly to final year B.E. students.

This year I 've also teaching Engineering Drawing, Engineering Mechanics , Mechanical Engineering for the first time in Gaya District which is for Diploma and B.E. Students majoring in something other than science.

Do you have a favorite?

Alok Sir : I do not think I can say I have any favourite.

Each level of these classes satisfies a different part of me.

Do you have a specific lecture style?

Alok Sir : I definitely have a certain lecture style.

I emphasize conceptual understanding rather than mechanical memorization.

To that end, I try to attract the type of students to join my classes who are willing to do the "Mechanical walk" in order to understand the mystery of our universe and feel the joy that results from such understanding and appreciation.

I encourage the students who join my classes to participate in a Socratic Dialog.

"In a Socratic Dialog, the "teacher" never answers the question directly".

Instead of giving an answer to the student's question, the teacher replies with a question until the student sees the answer him/herself, until the answer comes from the teacher who lives within the student, until the student becomes the teacher him/herself.

We must prepare these students the best way we can.

It is a great pleasure to meet them at the institute and see them working.

What are your research or other scientific interests?

Alok Sir : During the last several years,my research has been more towards better methods of teaching.

Also in writing in science & technology.

In general, how students can be more successful in maintaining sustainable happiness and real personal growth.

To that end, with the help of one of my past students like
Shankar, Nidhi, Neha, Archana, Akanksha, Rina etc.
there is now a website with a lot of material related to

" Success in Engineering College and After Engineering College "

" How to Get and Stay on Mechanical Engineering "

In addition,I am starting to teach freshers in seminar with the above title every quarter.

That seminar grow out of informal lectures I used to give every quarter on important topic.

My other scientific interests are in green chemistry, energy & environment etc…...

How did you get interested in life planning?

Alok Sir : That is a good question.

I feel I could write a series of books on the subject.

As always is the case, any one of us suddenly can become a living spring of water from his/her life experiences.

In my case, I always liked teaching and learning.

I knew that from my first college years.

But life circumstances caused me to drift away to work in various other work environments related to chemistry.

Being so thirsty for expression and the discovery of human nature,I could not take being away from an academic teaching environment anymore.

The issue became an issue of life and death; it was so strong.

So I suddenly started on the new path by choosing to leave a very high-paying permanent position to take several temporary very low-paying positions.

I know it sounds crazy but it happened, and it had a great impact on all the members of my family.

I was very lucky to have the full support of my family.

What advice would you give a student on how best to choose a good career?

Alok Sir : I would like to keep this answer short so anyone
who reads this will always remember it,No Pain, No Gain.

It is not without pain that we come to know who we are.

By finding out who we are more every day, it is possible to "do" what we are.

And by doing what we are, we are definitely home, gravitating effortlessly towards total success.

Unfortunately, to have total success in life, inwardly and outwardly,a high GPA is not enough.

Only if your personality type matches with what you are doing, where, how, when and with whom, then real success is within your reach.

Therefore, I say to my students that if you want to be a success, know who you are.

Do you have any hobbies?

Alok Sir :Yes, I have several hobbies.

I love taking walks and spending time in nature.

I encourage my students to get gardens so they can recalibrate themselves after studying and feel good about themselves.

Some of them have responded positively.

with the soil and the plants.

If you go to my personal website ( blog):
http://proferalokkumar.blogspot.com/
you will see several pictures of some of my hobbies.

I also started to take a class on how to develop yourself with new thoughts and now I am making it from all natural components.

In order to encourage my students to have hobbies,
I thought of the "Natural Talent Award" as I call it.

For each class I teach, at the end, the student with the highest score gets a handy Gifts selected by me.

When they come to me to pick up their award, while I am carving the "life curve" on it,I have the opportunity to tell them face to face how important it is to know themselves.

I consider it very important especially for the students with high GPAs to be balanced in life.

After all, most of them will end up in leadership positions and many people will be affected by their decisions.

Who is your favourite scientist?

Alok Sir :Albert Einstein is my favourite scientist.

The reason is because of the way he spoke about our favourite person Mr. Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi not only because of his bringing truth to science but because of his excellent personality and life values that perhaps most people are not aware of , without considering the well being of others and our environment..

"Generations to come will scarce believe that such a one as this walked the earth in flesh and blood," - Albert Einstein, in regard to Mohandas Gandhi.

Do you have a favorite quote?

Alok Sir :"You Must Be The Change You Wish To See In The World," -Mohandas Gandhi.

Friends , Send me your feelings at shaktishali@gmail.com .

I stress the fact that doing their work right would not be enough.
